The Tecumseh Pops Orchestra & Community Chorus will present their Annual Spring Concert, “Broadway Matinee” at 4 p.m., Sunday, May 7th at the Tecumseh Center for the Arts, 400 N. Maumee.  This wonderful group of instrumental musicians and vocalists, led by first year Pops Orchestra Music Director & Conductor, and Tecumseh High School Orchestra Director, Greg Smith, and long-time Community Chorus Conductor, Hannah Sparrow, will delight you with songs from The Great White Way!

Broadway Matinee will feature a variety of wonderful show tunes from several different eras.  The Pops Orchestra’s repertoire includes such notables as Singing' in the Rain, Be My Love, You Made Me Love You, Over the Rainbow, selections from the musicals Chicago and Les Miserables, and a medley of Duke Ellington’s best songs.

The Community Chorus will present memorable songs from the likes of George and Ira Gershwin, including Embraceable You, and Stephen Sondheim’s Corner of the Sky from Pippin, as well as selections from the musical Oklahoma!

No Broadway concert would be complete without at least one combined tune from the library of Rogers and Hammerstein.  The Tecumseh Pops Orchestra and Community Chorus will not disappoint, as they present, You'll Never Walk Alone from Carousel

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for senior & youth.
