The Tecumseh Area Chamber of Commerce plays a very active role in the Tecumseh area. We represent not only our members, but the entire community. Our events are designed to bring people into town to shop in our local store and eat in our restaurants. Our downtown events include the annual Christmas Parade and the local Farmers Market which runs every Saturday morning from May – October. We assist the City of Tecumseh and the Central Business Association with many other activities as well, working towards the same goal of showing what Tecumseh has to offer.
We serve as a welcome center to area visitors, providing information such as brochures, maps and pamphlets. We have information in our office about our members and include them in information packets that are mailed or handed out to those that stop in the office. They could be asking for a real estate agent, a place to stay or just visiting for the day and looking for a good restaurant for lunch. We also have people that make the trip to spend the day shopping in our downtown. We have several antique stores that draw people in from hours away. Our annual Appleumpkin Festival, held the second weekend in October, brings over 30,000 people to town. Our members are our first priority and we make sure we keep them in the forefront. A membership in the chamber brings many benefits including credibility in the community and opportunities to help each other grow their businesses.
